General programme of the session in Paris

Photo Contest

We invite you to take photos all along your stay in Paris and to post them on Instagram using this unique hashtag #athensinparis. You can also take part in the photo-contest for the ATHENS 20th anniversary (see below).

WI-FI

EDUROAM is the roaming access service available in all ATHENS institutions. It gives you Internet connectivity whether you’re studying or working at another institution.
Attention!! Connect your phone, tablet, or laptop BEFORE leaving your home university. Then, there’s no need to request special accounts or borrow other people’s IDs – just activate your device and you should be online.

2. Housing

If you have requested housing in Paris, a bed will have been booked for you for the length of the Session (8 nights) in Résidence Kellermann/CISP (Centre international de séjour de Paris), 17 Boulevard Kellermann, 75013 Paris (2 to 8 students per room).

Price list (price / pers. / night, including breakfast)

Rooms are booked from Friday, 10 to Saturday, 18 (8 nights), exept if you are coming from KUL: from Saturday, 11 to Saturday, 18 (7 nights).

Dates and prices are non-negotiable. Either you accept the offered package or you look for another lodging option.

Payment (in euros): Cash, Check, ANCV coupons, Credit card (debit card, Visa, Eurocard and Mastercard).

3. Transportation

4. Courses location / hours

Detailed information about the course in Paris (location, hours...): RDV Day 1.

Check out where is located the Parisian Institution in which you are selecting a course.

5. Welcome week-end / European activities

You are expected at 11:00 on March 11th at MINES ParisTech for a welcome session and buffet. During registration, you will be asked to pay in cash 35€ for the European dimension activities.

At 14:00, you will start a guided tour of the historical "Quartier Latin" in the center of Paris. Please fill-in the form below to indicate the knowledge you have about Paris City.

On Sunday, different visits are possible:
- Catacombes
- Marais Quarter
- Paris gallery and covered passages
- Cité de Chaillot - Architecture Museum
- Montmartre Quarter
- Arc de Triomphe / Champs Elysées

You will be asked to choose your visit on this webpage before your arrival in Paris You will receive an email with a link

Check which group you are part of on Saturday 11 and which visit you have been assigned to on Sunday 12

Participation in European Dimension Activities is mandatory (and fun)!

6. Social events in Paris

- Tuesday 14/03 (20h30) - Symphonic concert "Si tu m'aimes" (Ile-de-France national orchestra)

The Philharmonie de Paris is a new building designed by Jean Nouvel, a famous French architect. With its numerous spaces, resident ensembles and innovative artistic mission, it is a cultural centre that is truly unique in the world, bringing music awareness and learning to a diverse public.

Tickets are already booked so we need to know whether or not you plan to attend the concert.
If you commit yourself to attend, please note that you will be charged in any case.

7. Photo-contest

The ATHENS programme will celebrate its 20th anniversary on December 2017 in Paris. At this occasion, the ATHENS Network organises a photo-contest on the theme “What is your best memory of your ATHENS week?”.
